Donations of emergency ambulances
The donations of emergency ambulances were for the purpose of saving lives of accident victims or handling emergency cases of smaller hospitals in rural and remote areas. This service will help transport individuals with serious injury or illness to better equipped hospitals with specialised medical staff. In the year 2020, the Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Foundation donated emergency ambulances to three hospitals, two of which are in the south of Thailand, namely, Sai Buri Crown Prince Hospital, Pattani Province, and Sungaikolok Hospital, Narathivas, a small border hospital, which is significantly far from the town centre and has a significant number of people in need of medical facilities amidst inadequate ambulance service. The third ambulance was given to Ramathibodi Chakri Naruebodindra Hospital, Samut Prakarn Province, a new hospital which now strengthens its preparedness to handle a larger number of patients seeking medical services necessitated by emergency.
